What's new in Version 2025.01 – July 2025

·         Version: 

·         This release is available for use with CaseWare Working Papers 2024 and later.

·         This version includes CPA Canada Professional Engagement Guide (“CPA Canada PEG”) revisions up to and including the 2025 PEG update.

·         Revisions:

·         All templates:  

·         FS – Financial statements: 

·         Balance sheet, “Current” heading now automatically hides in instances where there are no current assets or current liabilities. 

·         Sizing of dates, 2 instances where font size was different.

·         Removed extra space under Income tax note.

·         Long-term contracts note: Lines will hide if there are no figures in the cells.

·         Long-term Debt and Capital Lease notes: Totals and verbage on 5 year repayments now hide if there are no future repayments.

·         Related Party note: Added option to hide total if there is only one related party.

·         U.2 – Property Plant & Equipment Schedule.  Capital lease section was not rolling forward ending amortization to the opening column when performing year end close.

·         Review and Audit templates:         

·         Financial Reporting Framework (2E) Section: 

·         Documents 2E to 2E.13 have been updated to include the presentation and disclosure requirements relating to accounting standards that are effective for periods beginning on or after January 1, 2025.

·         Audit template:

·         3A - Client Profile – Updates to Sections and Appendix B.

·         Group Audit 9G.4 – Terms on Engagement.  Appendix A removed. 

·         Compilation template:

3C – Engagement Acceptance. Updated to conform with PEG changes
